Purpose/How to Become a Member | Current Activities

Sub Committees


The Standing Committees of the Committee are:

  1. Fundraising Committee - will be responsible for funding the P.E.O.P.L.E. Committee

  2. Get Out The Vote (G.O.T.V.) Committee - will be responsible for establishing a G.O.T.V. Campaign. The G.O.T.V. Committee will also be responsible for achieving the goal of 100% voter participation among the members of District Council 47.

  3. Lobbying Committee - will be responsible for communicating the desires of the P.E.O.P.L.E. Committee to elected and appointed government officials and other appropriate individuals and organizations. The Lobbying Committee will also be responsible for the organization of Candidates Night.

  4. Volunteer Committee - will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a list of volunteers from the membership of District Council 47 who will participate in the activities sponsored by the P.E.O.P.L.E. Committee.

  5. Voter Registration Committee - will be responsible for maintaining a continuous voter registration campaign. The Voter Registration Committee shall also be responsible for establishing and operating an effective procedure for achieving and maintaining a goal of 100% voter registration among the members of District Council 47.

  6. Targeting Committee - will be responsible for identifying those areas where the resources of the P.E.O.P.L.E. Committee will be most effective.
