BECOME A D.C. 47 ACTIVIST

INTRODUCTION

AFSCME is not just another trade union. Besides engaging in collective bargaining, we’re an organization committed to social justice, a union that fights for working people and the poor. AFSCME and DC 47 come from a long tradition of struggle for peace, civil rights, social justice and democratic freedoms.

Today, as corporate politicians work to subvert Social Security, Medicare and public education, as they labor continually expand the political prerogatives of the wealthy and powerful, we’re responding with picket lines, strikes, rallies and all forms of activism.

We need our members to become committed activists to support our struggles. Only with your help can we:

COMMIT YOURSELF TO ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP
