Committee members in attendance: Michele
Belluomini (Local 2187), Sue Bolesta for
Joe McPeak (Library Admin), Andrea Carr
(Human Resources), Sondra Corry (Local
2187), Joe Perry (Local 2186), Harold Rosenberg
(Library Admin), and Richard Somers (Library
Security).
The Committee expressed concern that representatives
for Local 33 and the Buildings Department
were not in attendance.
1. Review of the Minutes from July 15,
2003
The cleaning of the carpets at the Northwest
Regional Library has been completed. Excess
moisture remained after cleaning that caused
some staff discomfort. A better method
of drying wet carpets needs to be found.
The public telephones were removed from
the 2nd floor area adjacent to the public
elevators without notifying staff. Patrons
complained that they were being directed
to empty phone booths. Better communication
of changes needs to be found.

2. New Business
Rich Somers reported that he was now part
of a sub-committee for a Parkway Council
that would be addressing homeless issues.
The sub-committee will identify what has
been tried and what is working. He will
be reporting back to the Committee.
3. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday,
November 4, 2003, at 3:30 p.m. in the TOPSS
Conference Room, Central Library.
