DC47 Health and Safety Advisory Committee Meeting

AGENDA


1. Briefing on Ward Spectrum, the new company that will become the Third Party Administrator of the City’s IOD/Workers’ Comp system effective April 1, 2003.

2. Review of agenda items that will go to the next meeting of union leaders with Risk Management regarding areas of concern in the IOD system, provider network, etc., to be held in early March

3. Discussion of the City’s policy on smallpox vaccination

4. Discussion of possible campaign in the Water Department regarding purchasing material from McWane Corporation, which was recently exposed by the NY Times and a Frontline TV documentary as one of the deadliest workplaces in America

5. Briefing on Recreation Department’s project on workplace violence

6. Review of Draft #3 of the Union Fact Sheet on IOD/Workers Comp

Note: I have not had any time to work on this document since our last meeting. I will do my best to make some changes to it per our last discussion. If we run out of time, you can take it with you and submit ideas for further revisions later.

7. Any workplace problems, training needs, issues you want to raise

Sorry not all of you can attend, but that will be a perpetual problem. I will mail each of you follow-up materials after the Risk Management meeting.
